packing problems.

As my exchange nears, I’ve begun to plan how and what I will be packing during my 5 months abroad.  Unfortunately, it’s turning out to be even harder to figure out in comparison to applying for a visa.  Okay, so that may be a slight exaggeration but still, planning what to bring is turning out to be a headache and I haven’t actually started to physically put items in my luggage.  How do you even know what to bring?

When it comes to packing, the most important thing that I’ve been told is to only pack what you need.  The bad thing about this is weeding out what I actually need and don’t need, which is proving to be quite difficult.  I’m trying to cut out items that will be hard to wash or that require dry-cleaning and items that are not practical for the English weather.  Too bad a lot of my clothing needs to be washed by hand, dry-cleaned or put through on the delicate cycle…

I also did a bit (read: a lot) of shopping at my soon-to-be former workplace to get a few basics - evidence number 1 and number 2.  Other than these “basics”, I don’t really think I need to buy anything else here because I’ve got to save up and save space for shopping in England.  I mean, hello!  TOPSHOP.  Plus, there’s a bunch of stores in Europe that I’m dying to visit.

Hopefully, I’ll be able to fit everything in one large suitcase and still have space for extra stuff!
